Vistas Community Center Parking Lot

A new year is upon us and now is a great time to clean out your closets, get a fresh start and donate your unwanted electronic items during The Summerlin
Council’s Drive-thru Electronic Recycling event to benefit the Blind Center of Nevada.

On January 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., bring your unwanted electronic goods to the Vistas Community Center parking lot for safe and easy disposal. Items such as computers, laptops, servers, printers, LCD monitors, cell phones, wire, surveillance equipment, receivers, microphones, office phones, medical equipment, scientific equipment, vintage electronics, VHS players and DVD players are accepted. Batteries, light bulbs, flat screen, tube style, CRT, and projection televisions are NOT accepted. All donations will go through a Department of Defense Certified data wipe and qualify for a tax deduction. When possible, items donated will be refurbished by members of The Blind Center of Nevada which provides jobs and assists those who are blind or visually impaired in reaching their highest potential. Items that are not able to be refurbished will be taken apart and safely recycled to conserve natural resources and avoid air and water pollution.
