Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and self-defense system that is one of the most popular and fastest growing activities today.

This art form emphasizes ground fighting techniques which involve various chokes and joint locks used to dominate and submit the attacker. Students can expect classes that will include a dynamic warm up, technique training and live sparring.  This program will expose the student to both the self-defense and competitive aspects of the sport. The exercise and physical fundamentals incorporated into the program are challenging and a great way for students to gain flexibility, balance, strength and self-confidence and self-esteem. We also understand the importance of fun and variety to maintain high interest and participation. Students may be required to make physical contact with other students during training exercises.  Participants must be seven or older to register, unless approved by the instructor. Parents who are interested in getting a great workout and learning self-defense alongside their children are welcome to take the class for an additional fee of $40.  A parent or assigned guardian may be required to be present during class.
