Nevada Ballet Theatre and its affiliated school, the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre, will heat up the summer with three unique programs for valley residents to enjoy: the ever-popular “Creative Dance Camp” for ages three through eight, the pre-professional based “Summer Intensive” for older and more serious students, and a general “Summer Session,” offering a broad range of classes from ballet to jazz to hip-hop - open to all ages and levels.
Not just for the serious student, the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre boasts a beautiful 36,000 square foot facility located in the heart of Summerlin. Students will enjoy an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and classes with instructors of the highest caliber.

ACADEMY OF NEVADA BALLET THEATRE CREATIVE DANCE CAMP
JUNE 9 – 27, 2008
The Academy’s most popular summer program, the annual Creative Dance Camp, targets youth ages three to eight. Divided into two age groups, (3 - 4 years and 5 – 8 years), this popular summer camp teaches creative movement, singing, arts and crafts as well as storytelling. A three week camp, students may choose to attend one week, two weeks or all three. Youngsters will develop a greater sense of rhythm, flexibility and coordination though the use of material that stimulates imagination and enhances creative expression. Each student who enrolls will participate in a performance at the end of each week.

Nevada Ballet Theatre’s annual Summer Intensive, a rigorous three week training program for the more serious student, targets young people ages 10 – 20. Students attend 25 classes per week in a variety of forms including: Ballet Technique, Pointe/Pre-Pointe, Repertoire, Variations, Character, Lyrical, Modern, Jazz, Body Conditioning, and Yoga. Optional classes include Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Tap, as well as regular Academy evening classes. The focus of the intensive is for students to advance their skills, technique and discipline, all while learning from a variety of instructors, including professional dancers from Nevada Ballet Theatre.
